Privacy Policy — Hadith Yawmi (حديث يومي)

Hadith Yawmi (“the app”, “we”, “our”) is a free Islamic daily companion app developed by Yahya Lbarnoussi. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Hadith Yawmi does not collect, store, or share:

Your name, email address, or any account information
Your location or GPS data
Your device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, or Android Advertising ID)
Usage analytics or behavioural tracking data
Crash reports sent to third-party services

There is no user account system. No data is transmitted to the app developer.

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

Hadith Yawmi saves the following preferences only on your device using the operating system’s standard local storage (SharedPreferences / NSUserDefaults). This data never leaves your device:

Theme mode	Remember your chosen light/dark/system theme
Language	Remember your chosen display language
Notification enabled	Whether daily reminders are turned on
Notification time	The time you chose to receive your daily reminder

3. Network Requests

When you open the Hadeeth view, the app makes a single HTTPS request to hadeethenc.com to fetch today’s Hadeeth. This request includes:

The display language you have selected (e.g. en, ar, fr)
A Hadeeth ID (a number)

No personal or identifying information is sent. The HadeethEnc.com service is operated independently; please review their own privacy policy at hadeethenc.com if required.

4. Notifications

If you enable daily reminders, Hadith Yawmi schedules a local notification entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to any server. You can disable notifications at any time from your device’s Settings → Notifications → Hadith Yawmi.

The home screen widget displays today’s Gregorian and Hijri date. This data is calculated locally on your device and is never transmitted externally.

6. Children’s Privacy

Hadith Yawmi does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13, or under the applicable age in your jurisdiction. The app contains no advertising and no account system.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, the updated version will be published at the same URL with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
